DALWHINNIE STORY<\/strong>
\nThe distillery was founded by Grant, Mackenzie and
\nSellar in 1898 (when known as Strathspey distillery). Its
\nname derives from the Gaelic for a \u2018meeting place\u2019 of
\nsheep and cattle drovers. It is incredibly remote but was
\npurpose built to be close to the geographic centre of the
\nHighlands and enjoy easy access to the reliable link to
\nmarket offered by the new Highland Railway. This helped
\nthe distillery to survive its fragile beginnings.<\/p>\n

As well as being a fine distillery, Dalwhinnie also has the
\ndistinction of being an official weather station, with one
\nof the lowest recorded average temperatures in Great
\nBritain.<\/p>\n

PERFECT SERVE<\/strong>
\nDalwhinnie 15 Year Old is a smooth, creamy, fragrant
\nwhisky. Heather, honey and delicate sweet spice notes
\nmake it the Gentle Spirit that is best enjoyed neat or
\non the rocks.<\/p>\n
