For a cost of just \u00a3750 in<br \/>\n1819, the future Duke of Sutherland was able to provide<br \/>\na ready market for the barley grown by his tenant<br \/>\nfarmers. It\u2019s from these origins that we\u2019re able to enjoy<br \/>\nthe highly regarded Clynelish today.<\/p>\n<p>The economic recession of 1931 forced the distillery to<br \/>\nclose. Production restarted in 1938, only to shut down<br \/>\nagain from May 1941 until November 1945 due to<br \/>\nrestrictions on the supply of barley during World War<br \/>\ntwo.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1960\u2019s, Clynelish was brought up to date when<br \/>\nelectricity was installed and still which had previously<br \/>\nbeen heated by a hand-fired coal burning furnace were<br \/>\nconverted to internal steam heating. Then, true to its<br \/>\norigins as a model design, Clynelish was replaced by a<br \/>\nnew distillery built on an adjacent site in 1967-68.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PERFECT SERVE<\/strong><br \/>\nClynelish 14 Year Old has floral fragrances and maritime<br \/>\nflavours with a light, dry finish, best appreciated on the<br \/>\nrocks or neat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/allthingsnice.in\/blog\/?attachment_id=4152\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4152\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-4152\" src=\"http:\/\/allthingsnice.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Clynelish-110348-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Clynelish 110348\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/allthingsnice.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Clynelish-110348-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/allthingsnice.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Clynelish-110348-768x1154.jpg 768w, https:\/\/allthingsnice.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Clynelish-110348-681x1024.jpg 681w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Appearance<\/strong>: Yellow Gold<br \/>\n<strong>Nose<\/strong>: Light candle wax, sugar. Faint floral fragrance. Scented<br \/>\ncandle wax comes up with water. Dried flowers on a beach.
