CRAGGANMORE STORY<\/strong>
\nThe Cragganmore Distillery was founded in 1869 by John
\nSmith, who is said to have been the most experienced
\ndistiller of his day. He had been manager of Macallan,
\nGlenlivet and Wishaw distilleries, and was lease-holder of
\nGlenfarclas Distillery when he persuaded his landlord, Sir
\nGeorge Macpherson-Grant, to lease him the land to build
\na new distillery at Ballindalloch beside the Strathspey
\nrailway line.<\/p>\n

Cragganmore was the first distillery to be deliberately
\nsited to take advantage of the railway line and a private
\nsiding was built to accommodate distillery traffic. John
\nSmith was a great railway enthusiast, but since he
\nweighed 22 stones (140kg) and was too wide to enter a
\nrailway carriage, he was obliged to travel in the Guard\u2019s
\nvan.<\/p>\n

PERFECT SERVE<\/strong>
\nCragganmore 12 Year Old is one of the most complex
\nsingle malts with layers of sweet floral fragrances, wood
\nsmoke, riverside herbs, vanilla and cereals. It is best
\nenjoyed neat or on the rocks.<\/p>\n

\nNose<\/strong>: A combination of sweet floral fragrances, riverside herbs and<\/span>
\nflowers with some honey and vanilla.<\/span>
\nBody<\/strong>: Firm, rounded, light to medium<\/span>
\nPalate<\/strong>: A strong malty taste with hints of sweet wood smoke and<\/span>
\nsandalwood.<\/span>
\nFinish<\/strong>: A long, malt-driven finish with light smoke and hints of<\/span>
