Pampas del sur Chardonnay Chenin Blanc 2016, Mendoza, Argentina: Aromatic, honey-melon scented Chenin Blanc, meshed with steely unoaked Chardonnay. Delicious notes of citric fruits and peach with an oral background. A solid mineral acidity combined with a sweet and fresh sensation.
Freixenet Cordon Negro D.O. Cava Brut NV, Penedes, Spain: The palate is refreshing, the sparkle balanced, with green apple and juicy citrus fruits. Light, yet with a long & elegant finish.
Zonin Pinot Grigio Friuli Aquileia DOC 2016, Friuli, Italy: Fruity, relatively full and unusually fine. Soft, fresh and light tending towards a dry style.
Allan Scott Generations Pinot Noir 2016, Marlborough, New Zealand: Cherries, black plums and a maple savoury character on the nose. The ripe and sumptuous concentrated fruit is supported by subtle notes of oak. The wine finishes very smoothly with refined ripe, light tannins providing structure and a smooth silky long flavourful finish.
Château de Parenchère Bordeaux Supérieur 2011, Bordeaux, France: This traditional blend is generally very fleshy with a very deeply coloured robe. Characterized by a good balance between fruit and tannin, it displays distinct red fruit aromas with a long, sustained finish.
Concha Y Toro Devils Collection 2016 Rapel Valley, Chile: Immensely complex Shiraz, Cabernet & Carmenere blend from some of Chile’s greatest vineyards. Joyous & powerful. A ripe wine with pronounced notes of black cherries, blackcurrants, plums and a subtle touch of vanilla from the oak barrels. Delicate notes of black plums complemented by silky tannins. An enveloping wine with a well-balanced palate.
